Dear 4 th Grade Parent/Guardian,

Fourth grade students will be taking the Ohio’s State Test for ELA Tuesday, April 4, 2023 and
Wednesday, April 5, 2023. The Ohio’s State Test for Math will be given on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 and
Wednesday, May 3, 2023.
We would ask that all appointments are scheduled on another day. The students benefit greatly
from taking the test with their teacher and in their regular setting. If a student is absent, they will need to
take the test upon their return to school. Please make sure that your child is not late on these dates.
A healthy breakfast and a good night sleep are two easy ways to make sure that your child does
their best on these tests.
Thank you for your help in stressing to your child the importance of doing well on these tests as
well as giving their best effort each and every school day! If you have any questions, do not hesitate to
